Enoyl-coa hydratase
Enoyl-coa hydratase, a.k.a. crotonase, based on the open reading frame CAC2712 from C. acetobutylicum ATCC 824 genome. The sequence has been selected because it is part of an operon (butyryl-Coa synthesis operon) that has successfully been cloned into E. coli. It catalyzes the second step in butanol biosythesis, producing crotonyl-CoA from 3-hydroxybutyryl-CoA. It has a His-tag added to its C terminus.
